A web log or "blog" is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual who regularly adds entries of commentary, description of events, journal writing, photos and digital images, videos, etc. Most blogs have a theme; blogs can contain personal journals and reflections, diaries, commentary on a person's work or experiences, or information about a topic or issue. There are artistic blogs, political blogs, adventure and travel blogs, corporate blogs, educational blogs, photoblogs, video blogs or vlogs, etc.

There are hundreds of educational blogs and blogs created for educational purposes -- by teachers and students alike.
